The Road by Cormac McCarthy

The Road is a post apocolyptic tale of a father and a son trying to survive. Everything has been burnt, not much vegetation is left, so people are starving and many have turned to cannibalism as their only hope of survival. (submitted by CB - senior)

I read this book this summer and it's a great read. By the way, the movie will be released in November, right before Thanksgiving...http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0898367/

I read this book last year in the bleakest part of winter...added to the mood of it all. I must say after reading this it's been difficult to find a writer with as much talent who I could handle reading. I loved this book. It was sparsely elegant.
